After seemingly faced with an endless stream of obstacles, the year is ending well for the JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) boys who finally performed for a tv show broadcast.
Because of their ‘delicate’ situation with SM Entertainment, JYJ have been unable to perform on TV until KBS intervened recently, inviting them to perform at the 2010 ‘KBS Drama Awards‘.
The boys did not however perform tracks from their new album, “The Beginning“, instead they performed “Found You” – a ballad track from the “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” OST, which KBS stated was perfectly alright since Yoochun was the male lead for the drama.
Regardless, fans were delighted to see JYJ performing on TV finally and this might serve as the catalyst to seeing them getting more opportunities to appear or perform on tv in future.
After JYJ’s (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) long awaited performance of “Found You” at the 2010 ‘KBS Drama Awards‘, JYJ’s very own Micky Yoochun (Park Yoochun) celebrated by winning an award.
As many of you know, Yoochun was the male lead for the drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” and Yoochun was awarded with the Best Newcomer Award. Congratulations to Micky Yoochun for the well deserved award.

MBC’s“2010 Music Festival“, the last of the three colossal year-end music programs, delivered a successful show on December 31st at the MBC Dream Center in Gyeonggi-do.
The event had an impressive line-up of stars, which included never-before-seen performances and special collaboration stages. The music festival also boasted a formidable trio of MCs – actor Ryu Si Won and SNSD’s Yuri and Tiffany teamed up as the ‘Hallyu MCs’.
Some highlights include Song Dae Kwan, Tae Jin Ah, and Hong Jin Young’s trot collaboration; “Khuntoria“’s couple dance; F.T. Island and CNBLUE band battle; After School’s introduction of their 9th member; as well as the dance battle between 2PM-miss A versus Super Junior-f(x).
And like in previous years, the stars were split into two teams: White and Blue team, and viewers will vote (mobile votes) as to which team of performers impressed them the most on this night.

Two talented and beautiful actresses Han Hyo Joo and Kim Nam Joo laughed and smiled together, as they both were awarded the Daesang at this year’s MBC Drama Awards.
Awarded by MBC’s chairman, Kim Jae Chul and Go Hyun Jung (who was awarded the Daesang last year), the two actresses were recognized for their excellent acting in dramas Dong Yi and Queen Of Reversals.
For their award speech, Han Hyo Joo stated, “Although I lack a lot, thank you for giving me this award. I would like to share this award with the Dong Yi staff, who were together for all four seasons. This award should be given to them, not me. Thank you to my family and fans, and also thank you to baseball player Yang Joon Hyuk, who told me he is a fan forever.”
Kim Nam Joo stated, “I wish time would just stop at this moment, thank you. I don’t even know if I even deserve this award. Thank you to god, my family and my husband, Kim Seung Woo.”

In celebration of 2010 coming to an end, the biggest stars of the music industry joined together for the 2010 “KBS Music Festival” held at the KBS Hall in Yeouido.
Held on December 30th under the theme of ‘Harmony,’ the ceremony was divided into two parts and featured 170 minutes of special stages of the most-loved artists of the year.
The grand opening for the last festival of 2010 joined all of the artists on one stage to sing “Last Festival,” followed by a variety of performances such as a joint stage between seniors and juniors, a combination of hip hop and folk, and girl group collaborations, all fit to the festival’s harmonious theme.
The 2010 Popular Song of the Year determined through digital sales, album sales, broadcast appearances, and text messaging votes was awarded to Oh! by SNSD!

Mnet’s M! Countdown returns on December 30th with another weekly fun-filled music show, and this episode was packed with awesome performances as usual. Nine Muses’ Eunji and Lee Saem were special MCs for this final episode of the year!
Meanwhile, it was a battle between GD&TOP and IU for the #1 spot on M! Countdown today, and in the end, it was GD&TOP who got their first win since debuting as a duo unit! Due to scheduling conflicts, they did not appear to collect their trophy. Congratulations to GD&TOP nevertheless!

Proving his spot as the nation’s MC once again, Yoo Jae Suk won his second consecutive Daesang at this year’s MBC Entertainment Awards.
For his award speech, he stated: “Thank you so much. I am very happy and thankful but at the same time I am sorry. I felt like Park Mi Sun, Kim Gura, Kang Ho Dong, and many others should have received this award so I apologize. But I truly thank all of you. After doing ‘Come To Play’ for some time, I have never said that I don’t like it once. Thank you to Kim Weon Hee, Kim Na Young, Gil, Eun Ji Won, and Noh Hong Chul who worked with me together. I would also like to thank my ‘Infinity Challenge’ family, Park Myung Soo, Jung Hyung Don, Noh Hong Chul, Jung Jun Ha, and Haha. “ To my family that is watching this on TV, I would like to give a send a happy heart to my son Jiho, who was born this year. I will keep working hard with no complaints.”
