INFINITE has made a comeback with their new digital single ‘Can U Smile (Broadcasting Ver.)‘ on this week’s “M! Countdown“.
The boys, who have emphasized their chicness and powerful synchronized choreography for ‘Come Back Again‘ and ‘BTD‘, maintained the romantic concept that they had for ‘Nothing’s Over‘.
The boys added their acoustic feel for ‘Can U Smile’ and showcased their sweet charms for the broadcast version of the song.
Composer Han Jae Ho and lyricist Kim Seung Soo, who are both known for producing all of INFINITE’s title tracks in the past, combined forces again for ‘Can U Smile’.
The two focused on changing the previous pop dance number to having more of an acoustic feel, making the song perfect for a hot summer’s day.
INFINITE, who debuted almost a year ago, unveiled the digital single to showcase their abilities as musicians, wanting a transition from being known as ‘idols who can only dance’.
The song captures the deep emotions of the boys, with its lingering melody and sad lyrics, such as “I can’t seem to hold on to you with only my heart“. This seems to be enough for INFINITE to make the transition from bright and powerful idols to real musicians.
‘Street diva’ Lim Jeong Hee has made a comeback on “M! Countdown” with her new mini album, having transformed into a ‘Golden Lady‘.
The singer had a successful comeback with ‘It Can’t Be Real‘ last September after years of hiatus. She recently showcased her untouchable singing talent in tvN’s “Opera Star 2011“, and was widely regarded to be K-pop’s greatest ‘opera diva’. Now Lim Jeong Hee has signaled her return as a ‘golden lady’, becoming a representative of the world’s beautiful and confident women.
‘Golden Lady’, the title song of her second mini album, combines rock and funk to create a whole new genre of hybrid hip-hop. Lim Jeong Hee’s powerful vocals are well captured in the song, with the lyrics portraying the confidence of beautiful women. The direct yet satisfying lyrics are sure to have female listeners nod their heads in agreement.
Co-Ed’s female sub-unit group, 5dolls, is back for another round of promotions after concluding their debut earlier this year.

After promoting as SS501′s vocalist for seven long years, Heo Young Saeng made his debut as a solo on today’s episode of “Music Bank” with his title track, “Let It Go“!
As it was his first solo debut stage, Young Saeng was buoyed by the presence of his SS501 group mates, Kim Hyun Joong and Kim Kyu Jong who showed up backstage to show him their support.
Produced by Sweetune, the song describes the different ways men and women approach love, and the misunderstandings that result from it. Joining Young Saeng is 4minute’s HyunA with a rap part expressing the inner feelings of women although she didn’t appear on stage due to another schedule.
This urban pop song has both a simple but strong beat with a combination of both ballad and dance and an upbeat chorus that brings out the best in Young Saeng’s sweet voice and HyunA’s powerful rap.

After postponing their comeback due to memberSung Yong being diagnosed with acute enteritis, rookie group TOUCH has finally made their comeback on today’s episode of “Music Bank” with their title track, “Rockin the Club.”
As it is their first comeback since their debut seven months ago, the boys are determined to show their best for the fans that have waited all this while. Representatives commented, “Sung Yong has fortunately recovered, so we have decided not to delay their comeback any longer. We promise to show the best in not only their song, but styling and performance as well.”
They continued, “Rockin the Club is an exciting song that they have prepared for a long time now, so the members are all highly excited to be able to show it off.”
After 2NE1 scored an instant ‘all-kill’ on online music charts with the release of their newest track, “Lonely”, many of their fans began to wonder whether they would be able to watch the group perform their soothing ballad track live on music and public music show programs, despite CEO Yang Hyun Suk stating they would not be performing on public TV programs.
However, it has been re-confirmed by Yang Hyun Suk himself that he will remain true to his word – 2NE1 will not be standing on stage to undergo active promotions for the song.
As a replacement, however, 2NE1 are set to recreate and perform modified versions of the song through YG’s online show, “YG ON AIR“.
—
Yang Hyun Suk stated, “This is my own personal opinion, but it’s a bit sad that for the past ten years, talented singers have been restricted to the exact same stage, exact same camera angles, and exact same format to perform their songs. This method doesn’t allow for each of the artists to fully express their true talents and music.” “A solution to this problem lies behind the popularity of shows like ‘I Am a Singer‘. In contrast to popular music programs, ‘I Am a Singer’ utilizes unique stages and top-class sound systems, which make not only singers, but also fans, to focus solely on the music, and thus making it a more enjoyable show to watch.”
He continued, “Because of these reasons, 2NE1 will not be standing on stage of music programs for their song ‘Lonely’, just like how Park Bom didn’t perform ‘Don’t Cry‘. Instead, 2NE1 will be revealing a different version of ‘Lonely’ every Friday night on ‘YG ON AIR’.” “Through ‘YG ON AIR’, 2NE1 will be doing performances in whatever style they like it to be, made to their hearts’ content. Fans who come to watch ‘YG ON AIR’ for 2NE1’s performances will surely be able to focus purely on the group’s music.”
The CEO concluded, “2NE1 will need to perform title tracks on music programs, but we’re only thinking of one performance a week for the time being.”
