SBS’s Inkigayo is back once again, and this week’s show was full of amazing and fun performances from the top participating K-pop artists!
The ‘Take 7′ nominees for the February 27th episode of Inkigayo were IU (“The Story Only I Didn’t Know“), Lee Hyun (“You Are The Best of My Life“), SECRET (“Shy Boy“), Navi (“Well Done“), Jewelry (“Back It Up“), G.NA (“Black & White“), and Mighty Mouth feat. Soya (“Tok Tok“).
Having already won twice on M! Countdown, and most recently a first ever K-Chart win on Music Bank, G.NA completes the grand slam with her first ever Mutizen win for “Black & White”. G.NA has certainly stepped forward as one of the more solid female soloists in recent times.
Congratulations to G.NA who couldn’t quite believe the reality! Also check out a preview of SBS 1-hour long special program for Big Bang’s comeback.

SECRET says goodbye on Inkigayo + details on Ji Eun’s solo promotions

After promoting for close to two months, the SECRET girls will draw a close to their ‘Shy Boy‘ promotions on today’s SBS’s “Inkigayo” episode.
The girls attained remarkable achievements this time around, with a three week hit on KBS’s “Music Bank“, a Mutizen win on SBS’s “Inkigayo,” and a win from “M! Countdown“. Unlike most songs which lose popularity towards the end of a promotion cycle, SECRET’s “Shy Boy” is still doing strong on the charts, demonstrating the song’s undeniable power.
Their representative said, “We do believe that ‘Shy Boy’’s chart ranking has a significant meaning, as it slowly climbed the charts and maintained its position there for a long time. Unlike ‘Magic‘ and ‘Madonna,’ both of which peaked at the top quickly and fell off the charts just as fast, ‘Shy Boy’ worked its way up to the top with its own power of music. It’s one of the reasons we believe that the song is so loved among the public.”

Fans of SECRET need not wait long as member, Ji Eun is set to release her solo single on March 3rd and begin promotions subsequently. Ji Eun’s solo will be a venture outside of the group’s recent success. The representative revealed, “Ji Eun’s solo will be 180 degrees different in comparison to SECRET’s standard style. It’ll be a genre and color that not anyone could ever anticipate. The concept itself is strong as well.”
Near the closing of their performance (around 2:59), leader, Hyosung said, “Thank you for all of your love, we’ll become a SECRET that never loses our rookie mindset.”

It’s MBLAQ “Again” on Inkigayo

Having just released their repackaged album, “BLAQ Style – 3D Edition“, the MBLAQ boys kicked off a new wave of promotions on this week’s SBS’s Inkigayo.
Their follow-up track, “Again“, is a mashup between electronica, hip hop, and R&B, which features a strong, synthetic melody with a fast and impressive beat, allowing the members to break away from their past sensual images from their “Cry” and “Stay” performances to showcase their stronger and more masculine sides.
Fortunately for fans, Mir made his return to the stage after temporarily resting from his herniated disk injury earlier in the month. With the group back on their feet as the dynamic five once more, fans can now sigh in relief and enjoy MBLAQ’s powerful and synchronized choreography for their new song.
