
Mnet’s M! Countdown is back with another weekly fun-filled music show and awesome performances.
Besides the usual performances, there were comeback performances from Wheesung, Girl’s Day, ZE:A, LPG, and INFINITE. Meanwhile, actor Kim Soo Hyun got on stage for a special one-time performance of his popular “Dream High” OST song, “Dreaming.”
It was a battle between K-Will, Big Bang, and Song Ji Eun for the #1 spot on M! Countdown today, and in the end, it was Big Bang who grabbed the triple crown with their third consecutive win.

Kim Soo Hyun performs “Dreaming” on M! Countdown

Actor Kim Soo Hyun performed his hit OST track from the “Dream High” OST, “Dreaming“, for the first time on today’s episode of “M! Countdown“!
Representatives of KeyEast Entertainment stated, “Even after ‘Dream High’ has come to an end, ‘Dreaming’ has been earning much popularity and is still maintaining its position at the top of music charts. We wondered how we could repay so much love, and came up with the idea to have Kim Soo Hyun personally perform it live. Since it is a special stage that will only happen once, he prepared a lot so please look forward to this performance on M! Countdown.”
Producers of “M! Countdown” added, “OST songs sung by actors like Hyun Bin and Kim Soo Hyun from ‘Secret Garden‘ and ‘Dream High’ have been doing exceptionally well. In order to introduce Kim Soo Hyun as the next Hallyu star to international fans, we suggested that he appear on the program and perform his song. Representatives of Kim Soo Hyun were more than happy with the offer.”

Wheesung makes a comeback on M! Countdown

After a long hiatus, Wheesung finally made his comeback on this week’s Mnet’s M! Countdown.
Wheesung’s single album contains a total of three tracks, “Maybe,” “Person I Know,” and “Words That Freeze My Heart,” all of which were composed, written, and produced entirely by him. Not only that, but the multi-talented singer even directed his album concept, performance, and music video.
His title track, “Words That Freezes My Heart”, features a strong beat with an impressive orchestrated melody that works to bring out the sorrow in Wheesung’s deep voice.
INFINITE’s Hoya also makes a guest feature with an addictive rap part that connects to a piano solo, which gives the song a more dramatic effect.

Girl’s Day returns with “Twinkle Twinkle” on M! Countdown

Girl’s Day has been exceeding the expectations of many, and as a rookie group, that’s truly a hard accomplishment to achieve.
After getting an exclusive sneak peek and the full MV from DreamTea Entertainment at Girl’s Day’s fresh concept photos in the past few days, fans were left speechless by the radical transformation that preceded the group’s newest release, “Twinkle Twinkle“.
The song features a cute, bubbly tune which has already been winning the hearts of many, and with the girls’ return to the stage today on the March 17th episode of “M! Countdown“, things are certainly looking up. Check out the girls as they “Twinkle Twinkle” for you!
INFINITE returns with ‘Nothing’s Over’ on M! Countdown

INFINITE has made a swift comeback through this week’s ’M! Countdown‘.
Shedding their dark “Before the Dawn” concept, the boys went with a playful and romantic look for “Nothing’s Over“ to coincide with the upcoming spring season.
Their title track was produced by composer Han Jae Ho and lyricist Kim Seung Soo, who’s both known for producing all of INFINITE’s title tracks in the past. The two focused on bringing out the emotions of the lyrics with an easy melody and a unique sound.

LPG makes an “Angry” comeback on M! Countdown

Trot girl group LPG has made their comeback on this week’s Mnet’s M! Countdown.
LPG made a comeback with a remake of Yolanda Be Cool & DCup’s hit track, “We No Speak Americano“! The original track was much-loved and ranked first on 20 different charts in 16 nations, and even recorded 10 million views on YouTube.
Chan Music revealed, “LPG came up with new sounds and new lyrics for their remake, titled ‘Angry.’ There were a lot of artists in Korea that wanted to remake the track, but through a long and consistent effort, LPG has earned the rights to remake it.”
ZE:A declares “Here I Am” on M! Countdown

ZE:A has officially kicked off their round of comeback promotions through today’s episode of Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown‘!
Their title track, “Here I Am,” is an up-beat urban pop track with an addictive hook that brings out the happiness of love. For their performance, the boys decided to swap out their aggressive, masculine images for a more romantic and suave one.
Before the broadcast, the boys expressed their determination to win the top spot. “While preparing for this album, all of us banded tightly together. We’re determined to work to the death in order to win #1 on a music program. There are a lot of other talented teams, but we hope to captivate the hearts of our fans with our lovely new image and show our fans that we can win #1. We’ll be working hard, so please look forward to our transformations.”
